Ashish is an Indian artist from Khana in central India who is recognized throughout the country. At the age of 44, he was awarded the Indian Government’s Best Artist Trophy for his work on rural development. Solo exhibitions of his work have met with great success in Calcutta and New Dehli.

Ashish also has his own gallery in Khana’s Tiger Center. Above all, he is an altruistic painter.

Living in the primary forest near Khana, Ashish developed his skills as a naturalist painter, and his works are based on the themes of the jungle, tigers and indigenous people. His style has evolved in two phases: one with a traditional classical style, the other more abstract.
